Sampling

We provide professional field sampling of water, soil, sludge, wastes and agricultural materials to ensure reliable laboratory results and compliance with legal requirements.
Professional field sampling services

Why Proper Sampling Matters

Reliable analytical results depend on how the sample is taken, preserved and transported. Our team follows strict procedures to ensure that every sample reflects real environmental or operational conditions and is fully usable for inspections, permits and decision-making.

Field Services and Capabilities

We provide on-site sampling of drinking water, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, soils, sediments, sludge, fertilizers, composts, agricultural products and waste materials.

Our sampling plans are tailored to permits, monitoring requirements and individual project needs.

Includes:

Drinking, well and raw water sampling

Surface and groundwater sampling

Wastewater and sludge sampling

Soil, compost, fertilizer and substrate sampling

Sampling of feeds, crops and plant material

Waste and leachate sampling for classification

Full chain of custody documentation

Who Relies on Our Sampling Expertise

Our sampling services support:

  • Water utilities and wastewater treatment operators
  • Municipalities, public authorities and schools
  • Industrial and manufacturing companies
  • Farms, biogas plants and agricultural enterprises
  • Environmental, geological and engineering consultancies
  • Construction, remediation and monitoring projects

When You Need This Service

Clients typically contact us when:

  • Sampling is required for inspections, permits or audits
  • A monitoring programme must be established or maintained
  • Industrial facilities need regular wastewater or sludge sampling
  • Environmental projects require documented field sampling
  • Authorities request results from professionally collected samples

Regulatory Framework of Sampling

Our sampling procedures are designed so that the subsequent analyses can be used to demonstrate compliance with Czech and EU regulations, including:

  • Water Act – Act No. 254/2001 Coll., which sets the framework for protecting and using surface and groundwater, including monitoring of water quality.
  • Waste Act – Act No. 541/2020 Coll., and Decree No. 273/2021 Coll. on details of waste management, which define requirements for characterising waste, sludge and sediments.
  • Fertilizer Act – Act No. 156/1998 Coll. on Fertilizers, which governs the use of fertilizers, composts, sludge, sediments and similar materials on agricultural land.

For projects with specific legal or permit conditions, we set up sampling plans to match the exact requirements of the competent authority.

Practical Applications of Sampling

  • You need accredited sampling and testing to meet the requirements of permits, inspections or certification schemes.
  • You are preparing a monitoring programme and want field sampling and laboratory analysis from a single partner.
  • You are planning or running remediation, construction or infrastructure projects and must document the quality of water, soil or waste.
  • You operate a WWTP, biogas plant, landfill or industrial site and need regular accredited sampling of wastewater, sludge or leachates.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, for many purposes. Incorrectly taken samples may lead to invalid results or failure to meet regulatory requirements. Professional sampling ensures compliance and accuracy.
Yes, for many analyses. However, authorities often require sampling by a qualified technician, especially for drinking water, wastewater, sludge, soils and waste classification.
We use internationally recognised procedures such as ISO 5667, national guidelines for soil, sludge and waste sampling, and method-specific requirements for agricultural materials.

Yes, we operate across the Czech Republic and, for selected projects, also in neighbouring countries (SK, PL, AT, DE).
